Meet Nova! Her foster rescued her from the freeze on January 2nd. She’s about 4-5 months old and appears to be a mix of Lab and Shepherd. She loves chew bones and will stay occupied with one for quite awhile. She is very loving and easily trained. In a week she has learned her name, to sit, and to play fetch with a ball. She gets along well with other dogs although she can be a bit overly playful for older or smaller dogs or toddlers. She understands “No” and listens well. She is not yet house trained. Give Nova 15 minutes of good playtime and she will curl up and be still for a good while. Nova does an excellent job of understanding bedtime and she sleeps together at night with our other female dog on a dog bed for a good 10 hours without even a peep. Nova will be a pretty large dog and she is already an excellent watch dog. She does well on a leash but even without a leash she stays by my side in the front yard. She never runs off. With the right loving home Nova will grow into an excellent protective watchdog and companion!
