Stephanie serves as the Board Chair of Charming Pet Rescue and has been a dedicated part of the rescue family since 2018. What began as volunteering quickly grew into a true calling, and she now leads our volunteer program—organizing company and team volunteer days and helping connect the community with our mission to save lives.

 

Outside the rescue, Stephanie works as the Senior Regional Manager at Venterra Realty, where her leadership and organizational skills shine. Her professional expertise has been invaluable in helping Charming grow and thrive.

 

At home, Stephanie has two grown children and, of course, a few beloved furry family members who complete the household.

Cathy serves as the Vice Chair of the Board at Charming Pet Rescue, where her leadership and compassion shine through every Saturday she volunteers. For Cathy, rescuing dogs is truly a family affair. She began volunteering when her kids were little, wanting to teach them the value of community and the importance of giving back—and it quickly became a cherished family tradition.

Cathy and her son, Matthew, discovered Charming shortly after relocating to Boerne. The moment they stepped onto the property, they knew they had found something special. The dogs were romping and playing freely, and the warmth and dedication of the staff made an immediate impression. Now, Cathy, Matthew, and her daughter Taylor regularly spend their weekends at the rescue, sharing their time and hearts with the dogs who call Charming home.

Outside of the rescue, Cathy serves as the Chief Revenue Officer at Capstreet, a private equity firm. Her leadership and passion for growth extend beyond her professional life into her volunteer work, making her an invaluable part of the Charming family.

Susan serves as the Secretary of Charming Pet Rescue, where she helps keep the organization running smoothly by maintaining board records and essential documents with care and precision. As the Senior Scheduler at RSM US LLP, Susan brings a wealth of organizational expertise and attention to detail to everything she does.

Alongside her husband, Mike, Susan also serves as one of the rescue’s devoted building and grounds developers. Together, they dedicate countless hours each week improving the structures, functionality, and fences that make the rescue a safe and welcoming haven for animals in need. Their hands-on commitment has been instrumental in shaping the beautiful, secure space Charming Pet Rescue calls home.

At home, Susan and Mike share their lives with their two beloved dogs, Murphy and Bailey, who inspire their passion for giving back to animal rescue and remind them every day why this work matters.

Amber serves as Treasurer of Charming Pet Rescue, where she brings organization, transparency, and heart to the rescue’s financial operations. A Certified Public Accountant at Valero Energy Corporation, Amber also leads volunteer initiatives that connect Valero employees with local rescue efforts, extending her love for animals into the wider community.

Amber first discovered Charming Pet Rescue through Facebook, where she saw the urgent need for fosters. After months of following rescue stories, she finally took the leap and fostered her first puppy—and was instantly hooked.

​

She and her husband, John, are proud pet parents to three amazing dogs—Gixzr, Harley, and Shelby—who remind her daily why this work matters.

Hilary is the founder and driving force behind Charming Pet Rescue. What began in her family’s home in March 2015 has grown into a thriving rescue that has saved thousands of lives—all fueled by Hilary’s compassion, determination, and vision. Her leadership has transformed a small operation into a community cornerstone for animal welfare.

At home, Hilary and her wife, Heather, share their lives with their two wonderful children, ages 13 and 15, along with a joyful pack of beloved pets. For Hilary, rescue work isn’t just something she does—it’s who she is. Her heart and dedication continue to guide Charming Pet Rescue every step of the way.
