We answer a lot of questions frequently, so we wanted to combine those answers and resources here to make it easier for you!

Where are you located?

Our address is 8430 Flint Rock Dr, Boerne, Texas 78006. We are open every Saturday from 10am-2pm or by appointment during the week with an approved adoption application. Simply reply to your approval email to set up an appointment during the week. With any questions, email the dog team (dogs@charmingpetrescue.org) or the cat team (cats@charmingpetrescue.org).

I FOUND an animal:

Most pets are found within blocks of their home, so it's actually most likely that you'll be able to reunite them! Please first get the pet scanned for a microchip at any vet clinic. If you're unable to find the owner, please fill out the Found Dog Form or the Found Cat Form to see if we can help. Please know that we get at least a dozen requests a day and we help with as many animals as we can, but we have limited space.

Need help affording to keep your pets? Of course when you adopt from us, the pets are up to date on shots and spay/neuter completed with our vet partners, but what about after that or for your other pets? Here are some great resources to help, so check them out!

I need to SURRENDER an animal:

We are not an open admission shelter. We understand that there are life circumstances beyond your control that affect your ability to keep your pet. However, we can not accept all pets because we typically do not have enough space. If you would like to surrender your pet, please fill out: Dog Owner Surrender or Cat Owner Surrender.

I need help with my new pet!

You're not alone. Please be assured that it's normal for pets not to eat or potty much during the first few days in a new home. They might be scared and they just need time to adjust to a new environment. Please check out the resources linked below to help answer some other common questions. We also recommend the following in-home trainers:

Dean from Double D Dog Training for basic obedience and moderate behavioral issues.

Jamie from Magnum Opus K9 for basic and advanced obedience, aggression, all behavioral issues, and sport dog training.
