Meet Dorito!
This 5-year-old, 28-pound mixed breed may have had a rough start, but thanks to his dedicated foster, he’s making incredible progress. Found as a terrified stray, Dorito is slowly learning to trust and blossoming into a sweet, playful companion.
Dorito loves using the doggy door to take his toys outside, where he entertains himself by tossing them around. He enjoys being brushed, takes treats gently from his foster’s hand, and is gradually getting used to a leash. In the home, he is quiet, calm, and seems to be house-trained.
At the dog park, Dorito starts off a little shy, but once he feels assured, he runs and plays happily with other dogs. He thrives in the company of other pups and would do best in a home with a confident dog to help him continue building trust.
Dorito is looking for a patient, loving family who understands that trust takes time. He may not come when called, but he will always keep an eye on you and follow from a distance. With love, patience, and consistency, his loyalty and affection will shine through.
