DOggy Day out:
Welcome to our Doggy Day Out (DDO) program. We have so many dogs who would love a break from the rescue, and it will help us learn more about their personalities! Research shows going on a day out from the rescue helps a dog's mental health and helps them get adopted faster!
How does it work?
We will help match you to the right dog to "check out" for the day to take on adventures wherever you go. And you get to have fun with a dog for the day!
Guidelines:
• DDOs are outings for dogs living at the rescue, not for those already in foster homes.
• No Saturday DDOs. Saturdays are reserved for Open House to maximize adoption exposure at the rescue.
• Minimum outing length is 4 hours. DDOs are intended to provide meaningful enrichment experiences rather than brief visits.
• Requests must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance of the desired pickup time.
• All dog selection requests must be submitted through the online Dog Selection Form (not by direct email).
• Dogs must be returned at the agreed-upon time unless otherwise arranged in advance.
