Application & Contract

Thank you for your interest in adopting from us! Please fill out the form completely, and you will hear from us as soon as possible.

Please note: We are located in BOERNE, TEXAS and transport to select areas of the country, but transport is an additional $300 fee you pay when finalizing an adoption. We understand transport isn't for everyone, but we offer that option at the cost we pay the transport company for those who would like to adopt from us out of state. We transport to these states: WA, OR, IA, MO, MN, IL, WI, OH, PA, NY, VT, CT, and MD. Read about Transport by clicking here.

Have you ever given a pet away?
Are you aware that pets have emotional needs and can suffer from depression, anxiety, fear, stress, etc?

Please read the following agreement:

By submitting this application, you agree to let Charming Pet Rescue verify the information provided, as well as contact veterinarian, landlord and personal references. Adoption fees are refundable up to 7 days after finalizing adoption, except for $50, which is considered a donation. After 7 days, the whole adoption fee is considered a donation even if the animal is returned. The only exception will be in the case of a pre-existing medical condition not included in the animal's medical history.

Submitting this application is not an agreement that we will hold the animal, nor is it a commitment to adopt. Charming Pet Rescue will review all submitted applications for an animal and choose the best fit, and then go in order of submissions received. Charming Pet Rescue reserves the right to refuse any adoption we feel is not in the best interest of the animal. Omission of information and/or a failure to answer all questions may result in your application being declined. The adoption decision is dependent on many factors including features of the animal that may do better in certain situations. Unless otherwise indicated, you are welcome to reapply in the future should this application be denied.

If you decide you no longer want the animal you adopted, you MUST reach out to Charming Pet Rescue (charmingpetrescue@gmail.com), so we can reclaim our pet or assist with best options.

Charming Pet Rescue Adoption Contract

Should your application be approved and you decide to move forward with adopting from Charming Pet Rescue, this agreement is considered the Adoption Contract.

  1. I will keep this dog as an inside pet, and will not keep him/her outside all the time or use him/her as a guard dog.

  2. I will keep this dog on heartworm prevention for his/her lifespan unless otherwise directed by my vet.

  3. I will give lots of love and attention to my dog, and train him/her as needed to be a successful member of my family.

  4. I understand that if I can no longer care for this dog, I must contact Charming Pet Rescue about the possibility of surrendering him/her.

  5. I also understand that Charming Pet Rescue has notified me of all medical, behavioral, and personality traits of any dog I adopt from them to the best of their knowledge. If I have any further questions or concerns, especially within the first week of adoption, I will reach out to Charming Pet Rescue: charmingpetrescue@gmail.com

  6. I release Charming Pet Rescue from all liability for any medical or behavioral issues that may arise after I adopt this dog. I agree to assume all risks and responsibilities I may incur by owning a dog including but not limited to damages to person or property and all medical care and bills for the dog moving forward.

  7. I agree to keep identification on my dog at all times, and I will also update their microchip with my information within the first week of adoption.

  8. I understand that any failure to perform the foregoing agreement or mistreatment of this dog is considered a breach of contract. In that event, Charming Pet Rescue is authorized to reclaim possession and ownership of any dog adopted from them.

  9. I understand that any dog will go through an adjustment period when in a new home, and will give him/her time to adjust, which includes not taking a new dog to a lot of outside of the home activities while they're adjusting.
